Portela is a family roasting house with everything that revolves around coffee. it was back in 1977, when Ângelo Marçal, returned from Angola, opened the door of the Casa dos Cafés Portela, with «a small machine and some clay cups where we served the coffee». At that time, coffee was tasted in passing and was taken, to taste from the customer, home.
